Born in Karlsruhe, Germany, Edith Milton is the author of The Tiger in the Attic: Memories of the Kindertransport and Growing Up English. Her writing has appeared in, among other places, the New York Times Book Review, New Republic, and the Boston Globe. She lives in California and New Hampshire.
Painter Judith Oksner studied liberal and fine arts in college and in graduate school and taught art for many years. Over time she converted from a full-time teacher to a full-time painter. She illustrated Snowball the Dancing Cockatoo by Sy Montgomery, also from Bauhan Publishing.
